Silent Hill 2: Remaking an Imperfect Masterpiece [Video]
If you’ve been following me on Twitter/X, you know I’ve been watching closely the development of Silent Hill 2 remake. As a long-time fan of the original, I’ve been from the beginning very aware of how difficult the task of remaking such a masterpiece would be for Konami and Bloober Team. And yet, they did it. Just like the original game, Silent Hill 2 remake may not be perfect, but it delivers exactly what it set out to do. In this video, I explore in depth some of the main changes and even the imperfections usually observed, and explain why they actually show a profound respect for the original game: pace, characters, storytelling, art direction, and more!
I’m currently experimenting with different formats so don’t hesitate to like and subscribe on YouTube, and connect with me on X/Twitter!
